Once someone divorces themselves from a disastrous clusterfrick (what the frick is with these giant arse fonts, Chicken?) it is usually difficult for someone to step back in. I would imagine Brennan feels let down, cheated from "what could have been" and just simply needs to move his life forward, and right now, Kelly doesn't even have a staff to look at and for Brennan to see and say to himself, "I could ball out in this situation".

Nuss is going to be 100% better as a sophomore redshirt freshman QB setting the world on fire. If Brennan comes back, he's the leader for the role, but with questions about his health. Also, Nussmeier might leave if Brennan comes back. OU might need a slinger if Williams leaves, as an example of a school that would be interested in Nuss. Brennan probably sees this and he is so unselfish and loves LSU so much that he knows it's better for LSU for him to give up his dream of being the starter at LSU rather than push the issue.

Not trying to get into an argument but if G has to play in the bowl game, he would burn his redshirt, right? He would've played in 4 games.

I personally don't see the reason to save the redshirt, he would get more practice and have a leg up going into spring when Walker Howard arrives.

That's if Brennan doesn't return and if he does return, he hasn't played in a long time. Not a knock on the kid, he's been in the system for so long, I don't think it would take him long to get back into it but the bowl game is in less than a month.

I'm just wondering if he's physically conditioned to play in such a short amount of time.

I'd love for him to return, these are just some things I'm wondering.

This has got to be the most ignorant take I have ever read. Opinions like this make me wonder if some of you have the mental capacity to even walk and chew gum at the same time.
