I think everyone would rather have an earlier bowl and be done with it. May have been able to have more players not opt out or transfer after. Before the new semester starts.

Only thing is now those guys aren’t taking reps away from guys who will be here next year.

Any damn bowl is good when you’re on a 6-6 team.

Damn some of y’all gotta constantly find something to bitch about.

Just use it for the extra 15 practices to keep the players engaged
The game itself is nothing more than an exhibition
I'm sure some draft eligible players will end up opting out anyway
Plus it gets your brand in Houston for the game which helps recruiting

And the opportunity for extra team practices which is invaluable to the young guys and early enrollees. Also could give you some momentum going into spring practices. Win Win

To be fair, it’s a great bowl for a 6-6 team

Do you have to practice with the team or something? Its almost as if you dont have to sit and wait to just watch the game on your couch

After a 6-6 season I’m not sure ide call a bowl 4 hours from Baton Rouge a shitty situation. Especially with the local fan base and talent here. I’m pumped bc I live in Houston and get to go after not making it to a regular season game this year for the first time in a long time.

And NRG is an outstanding venue for fans.

If you're not in the playoff/NY6, does it really matter? Would you rather the citrus bowl or something?

Let's be honest it's extra practice. The game is insignificant.

It's the last game before the NCG. It probably gets a pretty decent audience. Not a bad way to have LSU on the minds of recruits before the final signing date.

It’s better than being Auburn in Birmingham.

Jesus Christ this is fricking pathetic. You're probably going to bitch all offseason how you "can't wait for football season" won't you?

We're in an NFL Stadium in a recruiting hot bed against a power 5 team.

Would you rather be in Birmingham against a G5? How about Fort Worth against an Independent?

Shitty take brother.

I don’t think it sucks. It’s in a nice NFL stadium in the 4th largest city in the US. it’s actually a head scratcher why this bowl doesn’t get a better tie in or why Houston can’t get a bid for a CFP championship.

They put on a pretty decent show. It would be cooler if they associated with the Houston Rodeo as a sponsor. Call it the Rodeo Houston Texas Bowl.

If LSU isn’t in a NY6, the only bowls I’m interested in playing in would be Vegas, Texas or Citrus. All of the others bring nothing to the table.

Texas Bowl would never be a NY6 bowl, but Houston is getting the 2023 championship game.

Here you go again, man. Have a thought, shite it out onto TD, go into some psychosis induced coma, wake up, repeat.
