Nice. I saw him at University of Montana a long time ago and in Atlanta at GaTech the night LSU beat TN in their second SECG matchup. Went to game and had to leave before end to make show. Then at Variety Playhouse. All great.

To answer OP, I've seen some great stuff at Varsity. I remember when they first opened and Dave Matthews did a free show there not too long afterward. Seems like BTE played there every other week.

I'll have to jog my memory. I don't think I've been there since 1997. Some fuzzy memories: Squeeze, L7, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Blind Melon, i seem to recall Black Crowes there.

The Luscious Jackson show was surprisingly great. I was also at the previously mentioned Dio and Cult concerts. No one has mentioned Warrant... But reading this thread makes me realize how much I can't remember. I went to dozens of shows at the Varsity, yet am struggling to name four bands. Fun times.
