Said on the Russillo pod that he was consulted on the hire and have some tidbits.

-said Napier was never a choice
-deal with Kelly was just about wrapped up until Riley smoke from Trace Armstrong came up
-after Riley picked USC, deal with BK was locked up late Saturday, early Sunday

Interesting that Booger was consulted. He didn’t go into much detail on his involvement, out of respect he said.

I like Boog but…

I’m sure close-to-the-vest Woodward consulted a National talking head who is literally on television or radio 16 hours out of any given day….

Boy, I hope we don't regret this one, although we will have a head to head look into each season.

Rich and influential ex players and alumni who have access to coaches all across the country working for one of the biggest media corporations in the world definitely get asked their opinions on people they met dozens of time.

Ryan Clark probably in fits of rage that he wasn’t consulted as well.

Woodward is a very smart man. Booger knows a lot of coaches and football people. I don't think it would be a surprise that Woodward would reach out to smart football people to bounce names off of them

I bet this is why Ryan Clark is mad. He was not consulted because he’s a negative shadow over the program.
