They'll be fine. USC and LSU had months. It sounds like OU was blindsided by this, and they're not a middle-tier school that always has to have a list. Sure Riley could've gone to the NFL but that normally wouldn't materialize until after ESD.

I really doubt it for a ton of reasons. Even if it is, that's still the worst realistic hire OU could make. Plenty of established head coaches looking for 95 million reasons to leave their current job.

OU rarely goes for an established HC. Most of the really good OU HC's were hired from the coordinator ranks.

A school the caliber of OU needs to bring in a proven winner. Probably Brady Hoak caliber.

On the contrary. They are prepping the big announcement. I haven't gotten confirmation that they landed Dabo yet, but they are in talks. I was told they’re trying to upstage the big 12 title game with this announcement as a big middle finger to the conference and Ok State

Now, that just seems petty.
OU is moving to the premiere conference, and is leaving little brother behind. Why should they even bother to try to distract from the title game?
