What about Notre Dame to the Big East?

Obviously, the Big East remains one of the best basketball conferences, with the following schools remaining:
Notre Dame
Louisville
St. John's
Cincinnati
Georgetown
Connecticut
Villanova
Marquette
Seton Hall
Rutgers
Providence
South Florida
DePaul
Football needs help...they will be left with:
Cincinnati
Rutgers
Louisville
Connecticut
South Florida
Could add the following and be strong enough to keep the AQ status:
Houston
SMU
Boise State
Air Force
Navy
Notre Dame?
East Carolina/Tulane/Central Florida/Southern Miss
Notre Dame would like it because they would be allowed to keep their TV contract with NBC. Biggest issue would be flexibility to schedule OOC rivals. Not sure which of their rivalry games are "must keep", but this certainly has to be an option...they would be top dog in a BCS conference, and their other sports would get to remain in the Big East.
Probably won't happen but it should be on the drawing board for them. I don't think they want to run the risk of being a middle of the pack program in the Big Ten or Big 12, plus they want their own TV contract.
Thoughts?

Can you see Noter Dame Playing a Big East schedule? I'm sure they'd give up Meeechigen, etc. to play UCF, Cinn, etc.

ACC is our top choice if we are forced to join a conference; this according to all notre dame insiders on IE, II, ISD, etc.

Honestly, when I see that list, I think the Big East should probably just drop out as a football conference. I mean, with five fb teams left, how much will it still actually be the 'Big East'. Maybe the five football squads could go ahead and work with CUSA / MWC as football only teams and keep the rest of their programs in the Big East.
As for trying to build back / assimilate three conferences, I just don't get the effectiveness of a 'superconference' of essentially non-AQ teams.
But, those are just thoughts rolling out of my head.

Funny Chicken are u serious ?
But then again they maybe down with that .. Win a whole bunch of ease games .. Then get a automatic BCS Bid.
Notre Dame a true Blast from the past.
