Mizzou Fans: What's Up With Your Rock M?

Read some posts about it on Tigerboard, but that place is so hard to navigate that I'm not reading back to find out what is happening.
Have you guys announced a stadium expansion or something that is going to cover the rock M?

A couple people through out the suggestion to alter or eliminate the hill so we can put in seats and better trap noise. Some others freaked out so now its just some guys joking around. The Rock M is not under threat.

We're replacing all the seats with grass. We'll attempt to get a bowl game in Columbia and call it the Grass Bowl. Here's an artist's professional rendering.

The M was carved from stone by the 1927 Freshman class. My guess is that any updates or expansions to the stadium will have to work around it. There are some older alums who would be seriously pissed to see it removed.

I have no problem with MO, but that stadium is high school.

Doesn't their stadium hold 71,000? That's pretty close to the capacity at Arkansas, right?

word on the street is that we will be adding luxury suites and HOPEFULLY another tier up above.
SEATING capacity is like 62k but a "sellout" is 71k. That is a lot of people sitting on the hill or rocks.
It is embarrassing, and I'd love to keep the M but the hill must go...
