well, i wasn't sure what to expect from this article and it still failed to deliver

I couldn't really find any substantial arguments of interest to the general public. Yes, being left behind would be bad for Baylor - but asserting this is a matter of general interest to Texans because it hurts Baylor is really less than an amazing argument.

Three years from now A&M, Texas, Texas Tech, TCU, and maybe even schools like Houston and SMU will probably end up being the same or better off than they were two years ago. Baylor will lose out athletically but I don't view them as having a more significant athletic footprint than a Vanderbilt.

He really didn't present anything in the way of an argument - it would have been better if he kept quiet until someone else helped him think of something more clever
