appreciate all that he's done for LSU, think he's still a pretty damn good coach, even respect him as a man, and still not want him to come back here to coach. I like Nick--always will--but I think him coming back now would be a disaster. That is all.

for some reason I just can't hate Saban. I think it would be hilarious if he came back.

Good post. The media would jump all over him if he came back. Not only that but if he came back he could never get another coaching job. Bringing back Saban would be a mistake. I hope he never returns.

The only time I ever want to see Saban back in Tiger Stadium is next year when he brings his Tide.

I don't see any reason to hate him. You can't fault him for taking that Miami job, really. He wanted to test himself and found out that it wasn't for him.

He went to Alabama because he wanted to get back into the college game, not to spite LSU or its fans. We should be eternally grateful for what that man did for the program.

I agree. And he was the coach during my first years at LSU (I started in 03 when we won the NC), so I have a special place in my heart for him.

I am grateful for what he did that doesn't change the fact that I don't want him coaching at LSU again.

Why not? The national media hates Saban. He's rude, arrogant, and a proven liar. He's also compared losing to ULM with thousands of people getting murdered and didn't have the balls to apologize for it himself. He's blamed everyone but himself for his failures in the NFL and at Alabama, including his players. He removed all shred of credibility about his discipline by unsuspending a player at half time to try to win a game. He's preached loyalty and commitment everywhere he's been and shown none.

Why can't you hate him? Because he happened to be at LSU when the state's football talent was good enough to only lose 1 game and get a national title?

I agree. Now that I think about it, he left at the right time.

The way I see it is, if Saban would have went to Miami for two years, then tried to come back to LSU, no one would have a problem with him because he moved on to bigger and better things. Since he chose to go to Alabama, another SEC team, everyone hates him for it.
