I would swear I have read this exact sentence concerning other coaches. It's the "predates that development" that seems so familiar.

The only thing Sumlin has done that was a first was win 11 in his first season, which makes his current status an even bigger failure.
As for Sumlin leaving, the speculation is that he'd take the Notre Dame job.
