Why on earth would Kiffin leave Saban to take another OC job working for one of his own former assistants?

The ONLY reason is to get credit. Winning at Bama is terrific. But, IF he came to LSU and turned that offense into something very good....he is MUCH closer to another major HC job.

I am NOT predicting it. I am just giving a reason IF he chose to

He'd come in a heartbeat. Him and O are good friends and O would give him free reign. Saban has him on a leash, it might not be extremely tight, but he still has him on a leash. If you think otherwise you're just kidding yourself.
That's what I love about this board. You can rationalize literally any hypothetical if you want to

Coach, look, I appreciate you rehabilitating my career from national laughingstock to one of the most highly regarded offensive coaches in the country, but you yelled at me the other day during a Western Kentucky game so I'm gonna go work for the guy who replaced me when I was fired on the tarmac. Even though if I really wanted to leave I could just get a Head Coaching job, I think this the best decision for me.

If I'm Alleva, I start looking at high school coaches. Coaching Changes board on tigerdroppings says LSU has no shot at a decent coach.

bc grown men don't enjoy being raped on national television, especially someone who has been as good at his job as Kiffin has.

So you think that absolutely no one will hire Kiffin as a head coach then.
