I still like Nick, but think him coming back would be a disaster. Things that concern me.

1)It would be his 3rd job in 3 years. That has to hurt his credibility with both recruits and assistant coaches.

2)Assistant Coaches--him having to hire a very young and very unproven Major Applewhite as his OC concerns me. Him being very hard to work for concerns me.

3)The media hates him. Every loss, every statement, every everything would be all over ESPN and would reflect poorly on LSU.

4)It would be embarassing(the national perception of us)to take him back, not only because he left, but because it looks like we are living in the past(which most of you are).

5)Florida. They didn't rehire Spurrier when he left the NFL. They were progressive, hired a progressive coach, and have a national championship to show for it. They moved forward. LSU should do the same.

6) You can't go home again. We can't keep chasing ghosts. You can't unring the bell. You can't put the lid back on the jar. You can't recapture lightning. And a bunch of other cliches.

Never in a million years. I appreciate everything he did while he was here but we need to move on to something else now. Saban wouldn't be the answer.

Although, if it would happen it would be pretty funny to see all those LSU fans that can't seem to ever shut up about Saban and who have Saban bashing their full time job to all of a sudden have to welcome him back.

Guys were selling Saban Sucks shirts on the street immediately following the Arkansas game last week. Get over the dude already. Geez.

7) The Dolphins being 0-11 a year after him leaving concerns me.

8)Alabama having the same record under him as they did with Shula last year concerns me.

9)Alabama losing to ULM concerns me.

No. Don't want a coach who waffles on commitment. Miles can go also.

yes..the man gave us 5 great years and a couple of sec championships and on National Title...He left to chase a dream that everybody would have done if they had the same chance. Nothing wrong with chasing the money. Everybody else does it. Like he told everyone, he didn't have an opportunity to come back to LSU. He's about to get his chance. I hope he comes back because he will turn the program around in Bama if not. Even if he doesn't come...Its still good to talk to him about coming over just to stir up the Bama nation and try to ruin a xmas like ours was ruined a few years back.

And for the people that think Saban would look bad for coming back..(don't know why)....What do you think Alabama would look like? WOW. Come on home Coach Saban...
