Dabo needs to build a championship program at Clemson and become a legend there. He has all of the assets he needs. He would be an absolute fool to follow Saban at Bama. Following the super hero championship coach hardly ever works out.

Only to have him leave for Bama when Saban retires? No.

Twice in one thread, unbelievable

Why do LSU fans have such an inferiority complex about the team? Especially now. No, Archer isn't leaving fir Miami, Hallman isn't leaving for Bama or A&M, DiNardo isn't leaving for Notre Dame and Miles isn't leaving for Michigan.

Did it ever occur to anyone the Swinney wouldn't leave Clemson for another job if he would leave that one for Alabama? Why wouldn't he just stay where he is until the Bama job opened up.

I like his personality, but I don't think I would like that personality heading up my school's football program.

He's definitely a good coach.

Unfortunately, because of the incredible success that Saban has had with NC at LSU and his 4 NC at Alabama, the bar has been set so high for a coach and staff to do what he has been able to do.
Les Miles had to follow in Saban's footsteps and has to a degree or more been expected to do the Duplicate year after year as a measuring stick.
I cannot imagine no matter who it might be to one day follow in Saban's footsteps at Alabama when he retires.
Until that time, Sweeney has a great program at Clemson, as well as most all teams in the SEC, will have to fight and grit when you play against Saban and Alabama. It is what it is while he is the master at Alabama.

There's absolutely no reason for Dabo to leave Clemson for Bama

My coach is Les Miles so the answer is yes.

No. He's a classless prick, con man and crybaby. Spurrier exposed most of this. He's always an underdog and the media is against him. No thanks. We don't need a game-winning headstones for beating ranked teams. Should be expected.

I would at first, I was on board for if Miles was fired, he would be one of the replacements, because he be having fun dancing with his team and motivating them before the game but it seemed like by the championship game rolled around he turned me off because it seemed like he kept complaining no respect even though they were the number one team and playing in the championship. I think he would be like Jim Harbaugh, he would be good for five years max, then act would get old.

I personally don't think he's a great head coach. He made two great decisions in hiring Chad Morris and bringing the HUNH to Clemson, and then hiring Brent Venables. He's a great CEO that can surround himself with great assistants and trust those people to do their jobs.

Which is exactly why he is a great HC

Sure. He took Kirby to school in that game. Unfortunately for them Lane took Venables to school and special teams sealed the victory.

Will be interesting to see if he's Bama's coach in the next couple years. The longer he's at Clemson the longer he is likely to stay. Plus, does he want to try to follow Saban? Bama could do MUCH worse than Dabo.

His offense hasn't missed a best since Morris left. I think he's a little more than a CEO type coach.

Also he needs to make sure Venables is happy every day in that office.

It's difficult to argue his success and he is a very good recruiter. He is annoying AF but if Bama needed a man to come in after Saban he would be worth the risk. I wonder who would sound more annoying him or the ginger?
