i am of the opinion that when tuberville was let go at AU, it would have been the best if we had made a serious run at cutcliff.....this guy is one helluva' football coach, and lsu could do a lot worse

Cutcliffe has done pretty good at a basketball school in a strengthening conference.

My gut, gut only, tells me that if Cutcliffe is talked to he will end up recommending his former DC, Mike MacIntyre now at CO.

I'm also thinking this isn't so horrible if on the 2nd tier of options but only if could be paired with the right OC.

Can we refrain from going after coaches that Ole miss has fired? When did LSU fans start to think it would be a good idea to go after their sloppy seconds?

I don't think y'all are putting much thought into these prospects. We are not only looking for a coach but longevity. We want someone that will stay here for 10+ years.

Cutcliffe is 62.

10 years ago he's on the short list. His resume at TN, OM and Duke is impressive. I'd guess he's turned down interviews and offers over the years. He's in a good spot at Duke.
