It could take just one loss for them to get in.
I don’t understand why this would come out now when they have a legitimate chance of being in the CFP.
It doesn’t make sense.

It's a strong hire. So many will be disappointed because we "missed" on Riley. But Riley has no chest and also couldn't win the big games but everyone wanted to over look that because of the flashy offense.
I think this was his hire. You don't hire away a Top 5-10 coach overnight. Keep dreaming Riley, didn't happen that way. I believe the deal was done a couple weeks ago after they decided not to go with Riley. Riley just rode the media rumors to USC.

That's such a dick move on his part. I hope they do make the playoffs. Then what? He preps with them or recruits for LSU?

Downvote away, but that was sarcasm. It sucks what happened to that young man. Its freaking horrible. But if it wasn't an accident he would be in jail. Let it go. If it was all on him, do you think he would be hired? Do you think ND would keep him? Do you know what the last two coaches have done to and with young impressionable women? Do you have daughters?
