Dude can recruit his arse off and his LA roots run deep. Has HC experience. Just surround him with elite coordinators and we are set.

Question 1:

Are there more qualified and better candidates that would likely take the job?

If the answer is yes, then you have your answer as to the OP question.

Does a New Orleans accent count as a qualification?

He does have a better winning percentage as a Full Time Head Coach than O does...

I'm okay with it after Jimbo leads us to 6 National Titles and retires on top in 2025.

Does no one realize that this is just giving the same reasons people want O and attaching a different name?

He doesn't have enough experience yet. But all of the pro-O posters ought to be making the exact same arguments for him that they make for Orgeron... since both would only be qualified in the sense they've shown they can recruit.

This is a Top 5 kind of job. Would any other school such as Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, or even Texas want Wilson as their coach? If no then we don't either. We need a proven head coach who has won at a big program.

What if we surround him with Top 5 coordinators that know their Xs and Os?

I'd like to keep my eye on him and watch how he does. Let him gain some experience and move to a bigger program. If he passes all the tests, would love for him to eventually end up back here as our head coach but that is way way wayyyy down the road.

I feel bad now since people are offering sincere replies. This is a joke referencing the support for Coach 0. Sorry thought it was obvious.
