Would think it would be a great place to get exposure. Top facilities ,chance at playoff yearly, top Athletes , great pay etc... Why wouldnt a top OC /DC want to jump on this opportunity? especially when they are working at a place that doesn't have any of these things? Maybe my P&G glasses are on but we seem to go thru this every time we are looking. Aranda seems to be the last Guy that came in with some hype and that has been a while.

When you have bat shite fans that fire a less than two full seasons after he won a national title, players and coaches are going to be wary of coming.

Some will take this as a troll but it’s not

Well last year everyone saw the writing on the wall with O and this year we've only missed on one DC candidate unless I'm missing something.

I’m sure you’d love it if we retained special Ed. He had driven the program into the ground after his 2 year victory lap.

Quit being a nega-Tiger and trust Brian Kelly.

I would normally agree with you but O had so much off the field baggage that it kinda makes this a moot point.

If you can't see Orgeron completely self destructed after the National Title and keeping him on any longer would put LSU in an even deeper darker hole, maybe just watch basketball. I hear they're really good.

I don't think you're a troll. I just think this is an extremely ignorant and naïve take on what happened with O.

the problem with wanting the "top OC or DC" is that its typically a guy that's already on a clear path to a good HC gig, so even if LSU offers more money and is considered a better job or program, its still a risk for that coach and he has to uproot his family for what's probably a 1-2 year stay until he gets the head job he wants.

its not as simple as some make it out to be.

Lol. This is completely stupid.

If we repeatedly did this, sure. This happened once and there were know’m off field issues as well.

But why am I replying to you about this. You know nothing of what a championship program looks like.

Incomplete thought not withstanding, the fans fired Orgeron? How do you figure.

Well, part of it was Orgeron. Each hire he made was more and more risky for the incoming coach, as he was relying on his coordinators, so their success was tied to his.

Aranda, Canada and Pelini were big hires. When Canada and Pelini didn’t work out, it hurt his ability to get someone as good the next time. That’s ultimately why he was fired, he ran out of chances to do the thing he sold the admin on (hiring the best coordinators)
