Don't try to reason with someone who bases their logic on one gsme. Forget the fact that he's had pretty darn good success with a program that just isn't that attractive and isn't a powerhouse n the ACC. With that said I would think if O wins out since he supposedly has a full staff ready as soon as he gets the nod I would say he's in that group with the 2nd tier options after fisher and Herman.

Fedora won a conference championship at USM and has won his division at NC. Miles was credited for making OSU less shitty. Saying he had more success is asinine

He also left Southern Miss in shambles. Two different coaches won a total of ONE game in two years. Don't tell me Todd Monken was a bad coach.

Secondly, how many ranked teams did he beat winning that division? Mind you he lost to the worst south Carolina team in ten years.

Fast forward to this year. he's played one ranked team in fsu and won on a 56 yard fg. he lost to the worst Georgia team in 10 years. Not to mention that juggernaut know as Duke.

Average coach at best.

I like Fedora as someone on the B-list, but at that point I'd also want to consider Dan Mullen, CU's McIntyre, and others.

I'm not a fan at all

Usm was a 9 or so win team just two years prior and he was very meh until one season and he left

Same thing at NC

He had one good season last year and even in both his good seasons he dropped multiple games

I just feel we can do better

Agreed. He's not as bad as PJ Fleck but Fedora isn't worthy

Glad you aren't making the decisions.

The dude wins games. He is coaching at fricking North Carolina. Just like you idiots that bash Mullen. Both of them are at shite schools. Both have better resumes than Orgeron regardless of what our idiotic fanbase thinks. Both Fedora and Mullen would be great hires if LSU cannot get Jimbo.

Nick Saban and Les Miles did not do shite before they came to LSU. Michigan State is in a better position to succeed in football than State and UNC, yet both of these coaches had more success at their respective schools.

I am looking for a fit. Fedora probably wont retain Aranda, I don't think he fits well with LSU in other areas, the whole Southern Miss stigma, and the fact that he was meh at UNC besides 2012 and last year imo. Fisher has a better resume and honestly it's not even close.

Fedora imo would be inconsistent. he gets a lot of what he has at UNC. I just see another Tuberville type. Looks good some years, 'meh the next two, makes a run but finds a way to frick it up. Not saying Fedora is a bad coach, but I remember that show that went inside his season at UNC and wasn't that impressed. Good for some, but LSU can do better.

What is any of that based on? Why would he get rid of Aranda? Why wouldn't he fit at LSU?

Just more of intuition than anything. Fedora seems like the guy that wouldn't want coordinators forced down his throat based on his personality. I just see inconsistency. we had that in 08, 09, 12, 13, 14, and 15 under Les while other years were good. Fisher has more of a connection with the school, has contacts with high school coaches that LSU actively recruits from, coached 3 of the best seasons statiscally at LSU offensively, proven ability to develop QBs which has been an obvious weak link for LSU since he went left for Tallahassee. Combine that with his succsss at FSU. He has the resume combined with being a better fit at LSU than fedora. Hire him with aranda and you have fixed the issue at LSU.

And the 7-6 and 6-7 records in 2013 and 2014 says LSU can do better.
