Why I like Kelly.

1) he has won everywhere he’s been.
2) He wanted LSU when we hired O. Alleva didn’t consider because he had a down year. This go around, he chose LSU again. He wants to be at LSU. We should have hired him when we hired Les.
3) He is still on top of his game getting to the playoffs and competing again to get there.
4) strong recruiter, he is no nonsense and willing to get dirty to compete at highest level.
5) he’s a strong x and o coach. Coached on both sides of the ball. Considered an offensive genius. Always has a good qb.
6) he will be the man in charge. He hires quality assistants and his teams are well prepared. The moment/ game is never to big.

I mean notre dame plays hard nosed smash mouth football. Got spanked by Bama but they do play the game right. Always did under him.

He always has a history of staying at 1 school for a very long time. I think he will finish his career coaching at LSU, and not jolt to NFL or another opportunity.
Yeah he may be 60 years old, but likely to coach until 70 so we have 10 solid years of 1 of the best coaches in CFB, you can't ask for better than that.
