frick that guy to hell for intervening in the firing of CLM. He didn't like the optics of how it would make his presidential campaign look bad by having a cash strapped school in his state spending (private) money on a coaches buyout. I can't believe I voted for that guy twice. Who knows if it cost us a shot at a national championship, but it sure as hell didn't help.

The lame duck guv was still the boss at the time. FKing is a state employee. When the guy that can fire you speaks...you listen. This was a big deal to Jindal at the time. It doesn't matter, one, or more realistically, both of them screwed this situation sideways. They are both frick wads in my book anyway.

I don't understand how this was pinned on Jindal. He was a lameduck governor and no power over LSU's 2016 budget (this all occurred in Nov 2015). I believe there was political intervention, but would have to be from the incoming administration, not Jindal.
