Ican see your point but it is my understanding he had issues with Bret Bielema, who did not allow him to run the offense as he wanted. So Saban may have been a coach he wanted to avoid. Just speculation as a possibility.

Pitt obviously. Apparently UCLA. Perhaps Ole Miss, Rutgers, or others looking for an OC. Saban might've talked to him, but I think he was probably already set on going with Sark.
Doesn't really matter. A great hire for LSU and Canada. He should be able to excel at LSU even better than his prior gigs.
