Matt Ryan also stated that Logan was the reason for his success.
He said this too:

I think as a QB the more experience you have the better you can prepare. So I watched a lot of tape from last year, to improve on my mechanics and decision making. A lot of it is personal, but Coach Logan has helped a lot, and given us a great offensive system that we really enjoy playing in.
Facts are that he coached Matt Ryan for 1 year and the year after the offense went into the tank. He had some success at ECU, but not enough to get an OC gig at a major school.

The best choice if it was possible.
1. Mark Helfrich

Steve Logan is my top choice.
Holgorsen is a great coach and mind, and by all means I'd love to have his offense, but he'd be here and gone before you knew it and we'd be looking for a new OC again.

Leach. The combination of "The Mad Hatter" and "The Pirate" we could start our own Injustice League.
If not Leach then Dana Holgerson

I would really only be interested in Kragthorpe if he changed his middle name to "Aggro."

Anyone but Kragthorpe or Crowton

Bob Bostad of Wisconsin.
He is not currently an OC. However, he is the OL coach and Running Game Coordinator in Madison. As most people know, the Badger offense has been going crazy this year...scoring more than 70 points a game three times. Wisconsin has the 4th-ranked offense in the nation. Moreover, they are averaging around 250 rushing yards a game. So you can see that Bostad has done a good job of managing that OL and running game.
He does have two years of OC experience at San Jose State around 10 years ago. Prior to Wisconsin, Bostad was the OL coach at New Mexico for 6 years. During Bostad's tenure at New Mexico, 14 Lobo offensive linemen earned all-conference mention, including seven first-team selections (both of those figures are tops in MWC history). The 2003 Lobos led the MWC in scoring (30.1 ppg) and ranked 11th nationally in rushing average (227 ypg). The 2002 New Mexico line allowed just 17 quarterback sacks in 14 games (352 passing attempts).
He has been at Wisconsin the past 5 years: first 2 as TE coach; last 3 years as OL coach/running game coordinator. The Wisconsin OC (Chryst) is a Badger alum and is in his dream job so Bostad will most likely need to look elsewhere for a move up in the coaching ranks. Wisconsin has led the Big Ten in rushing and ranked in the top 15 in the nation the past two years.
Possible cons to think about include the fact that he is not a current OC (although he does have a bit of experience). Moreover, he is not a QB coach. Because Bostad's experience is with OL, TEs, and RBs, we would need to hire a QB coach. However, Bostad could also take over the management of the OL which would allow us to ditch Studrawa. So, jettison Crowton and Studrawa and hire Bostad and a QB coach; Bostad would be the OC.
Miles would probably love Bostad's philosophy of basing the offense around a punishing running game. With our great OL recruits and big RBs coming in (Ware...Ford...Hilliard...Hill), it could be a perfect scenario. Bostad is also known as a good recruiter.

they have one of the best o.lines in the country and their o.line play with a nastiness about them.
Great pick.
