If he does get the job we need to do our job as fans and give him and the players our full support. He's not my ideal candidate but I will support his efforts and let him earn his negative criticism.

And then we will be right back where we were at the end of last year...except much quicker than last time.

If the decision is made for him to have the job then we have to give him the chance. He's been a definite upgrade over what just left and only because the game passed Miles by and his stubborness was his ultimate undoing. Hopefully if O is the guy he will adapt .

HOW? We played a bunch of shitty teams and are fortunate UF has a worse offense than ours!!!
Miles would have skull cricked those teams.

Exactly. Just wait until we hire O and get obliterated in Tuscaloosa again next year. The same people calling for O now will be calling for his head.

People seem to have forgotten Miles beating a couple of shitty teams to save his job last year. It was the wrong decision to retain him on the basis of those performances.

You should never make a major coaching hire on the basis of one or two games - especially at a university with a top five football program. If your mind could be changed to the negative with a single loss... then the coach in question just isn't qualified. Especially when the wins will likely come against Florida and A&M teams busily deep-throating their own mediocrity.

Screw that! If our AD screws this up by hiring O, he won't get my support.

Agree. We will just be right back in the same position in 2-3 years. I can't support lsu making such an obvious mistake.

I'll come around and support but this is a HUGE opportunity for LSU Football, and it will be so disappointing if we settle for O with a couple of extremely appealing candidates on the table (not to mention the time we've had to evaluate). This is a big, big moment for the program. The "O people" just don't seem to get that.

A bunch of shitty teams = and SEC schedule. What do you want from the guy to call the packers to town on their bye week for an exhibition?

Just want ppl to stop acting like this year's SEC schedule is a reason to hire ORGERON. He should never have been told he would have a shot. If that meant making Aranda the interim, then that's how it should have been.

Ogeron was brought to LSU as a position coach in the first place to have a shot at HC, not sure how people seem to fail to realize this.

And no, the schedule isn't the reason to hire him, but you can't very well say that we have played nothing but shite teams. We have played the teams that we can expect to play every year.

He can't do anything about the schedule, but he had an opportunity against bama to show us something we haven't seen with miles and he failed. We looked worse on offense than we did with miles.

Do you think jimbo or herman would have put up zero points against bama? No they wouldn't have because teams have been scoring 20, 30 and 40 points against bama this year and we put up zero at home.

Exactly why we can't hire him. Those great SEC teams? Southern Miss was the best of them except Bama and we all saw that pathetic offensive performance. If we are going to settle, take a chance on Aranda.
Ole Miss rush defense? 114th. Arky? 105th. Mizzou 109.
Southern Miss 65th AND WE WERE TIED AT HAF TIME! We eventually wore them out. Aka Miles.
