Asst ST/Safeties/Recruiting coordinator at UTEP in 2016. My man multitasking

LSU will probably be looking for a new ST coach or asst coach in general to occupy the token "wtf does that guy actually do?" role on staff.

Da Last Don was and still is an enigma. Dude showed up out of fricking nowhere and stayed literally nowhere. I'm convinced Les lost a random game of go fish and Da Don parlayed that into a coaching gig. He's my personal hero.

The Don will be the cornerstone to build around when Jimbo negotiates control to build his own shadow support staff at LSU.

LSU needs to hire the special teams coach from Memphis. This is his first year, and he has turned them into the best overall unit in the FBS. They are tops in kick coverage pretty much across the board, have a Groza nominee kicker, and have returned 3 kicks for TDs after an FBS-long drought of none since 1996.

I don't know if it still holds, but a couple of weeks ago, they were top 5 in every ST category. He also coaches OLBs. This is our guy, no matter who the head coach is.

True, but from Yano's bio:

Exhibit A:
1989-95 Memphis (offensive line/recruiting coordinator)

Exhibit B:
2001-02 East Carolina (defensive line)
2003-05 Duke (outside linebackers/special teams, 2003; offensive line, 2004-05)
2006 East Carolina (tight ends/special teams)

He's already mastered Memphis & Carolina style BBQ. He's more well-rounded and just one stop in Kansas City from pulling off a BBQ hat-trick. Pay the man!

Damn. Consider me educated. Give him the reigns!
