i don't think it's an issue with recruiting

it's the coaching ego. Aranda likely thinks college is beneath his ability as DC, and if he keeps this up at LSU he'll show that it is. if you truly believe that you're brilliant, AND you are driven, at some point you're going to want to face off against the best

As soon as Saban retires and Dabo takes the Bama job. Until then he's staying in place at Clemson, unless Dabo takes him with him to Bama.

Dallas cowboys defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli makes an average of 2 million per year. Which is about what lsu just signed Aranda to. Therefore I don't see Aranda leaving unless he takes a head coaching job.
