I wouldn't talk shite or anything, because you never know. They might turn out alright.

Ok that is a lie, I would bump a few posts of people promising me it would be Herman or Jimbo the first day and THEN after that I would be all wise with my "you never know" angle. Just being honest.

I believe if a top drawer person is not available then Orgeron keeps it for another year or two.

Fedora is more established than Herman. Outside of one Heisman year, Jimbo shits the bed as much as Miles, against weaker competition. If Jimbo is elite, so is Miles

It depends who the coach was, honestly. Kiffin - I would be livid. I despise that guy and him now coming from BAMA would make it worse.

ANYONE is a gamble in this market. Anyone. Hell Jimbo's program was built by the third greatest coach of all time.

There is a difference between me rationally knowing that any coach is a gamble, and me getting some yucks because some people get a reality check.

Then at least we go from being boring and non-competitive to putting up some points while being non-competitve for a couple years until we try again.

I would be happy since Herman isn't elite yet.

It was perfect timing between Alabama and Saban. What elites are available and who are they ?

So you'd still be scared and would hedge your bets. Good call.

Serious question...would you prefer Orgeron or Kiffin?

If Petrino goes anywhere, I could see Kiffin at Louisville. And doing a helluva job.

I'm telling you define elite because the coach from cvs North Dakota state might be an excellent hire. He has a ton of experience and knows how to win. To me that would be a great hire. Tom Herman and Jimbo are sexy names but you know sometimes coaches just don't fit and don't succeed like you expect.

I wouldn't be surprised. Honestly I don't think LSU will get an elite coach

We shouldn't taken anyone that sucks when the we can for sure have Coach O! I would take Coach O over most of the crappy pisses of shite that are having their names tossed around.

Jimbo, Herman and possible a couple of more. If you don't get what you think is home run then settle for a triple! Coach O!
