I wish I knew that for sure, but crazier things have happened. We'll know more when we have a vacancy. The whole Skip Bertman quote, "Why would I call [the Alabama coach]? We have a coach, Coach Miles" speaks volumes.
To dismiss the speculation, Skip could have said, "Should a vacancy occur for LSU head football coach, [the Alabama coach] would not be a viable candidate for a replacement for obvious reasons." That would have killed speculation right there. He didn't, he used that PR spin language, and that's what has my gut in a knot.
