People (and sips) forget that Sumlin is NOT the first black men's head coach at A&M.
He is, however, the first SUCCESSFUL black men's head coach at A&M. (Melvin Watkins never made the postseason and failed so magnificently in his last year that he resigned on his own)

I don't think he's that great of a coach. I think Louisville is vastly overrated and if they played a tougher schedule they would be greatly exposed. Plus it can't be that hard to field a good team at Louisville...I mean John L. Smith did it.
