What are chances that OC is either Kiffin, Sarkisian, Gilbert or Applewhite?

If you were a betting man, would you lay money on one of those being the next OC?

Is it known that Sark is a candidate?

I am guessing he isn't a consultant at Bama for long...

I think it is a certainty that Kiffin is leaving. I would imagine Sark already knows he has the job.

Lane or major depending on whether lane gets HC'n gig. Outside shot major gets UH job as well.

Gilbert and Applewhite don't impress. Gilbert has been at 4 schools in 4 years and Texas was his first big job.

Applewhite hasn't had success until Herman.

I'd guess there's a 50% chance that one of those names is the LSU OC next year.

in his defense, he was lured away by all those schools because of his coaching skills...

I agree, not saying he was ran off, just that he hasn't stayed long enough for full system implementation or developing a recruiting base.

Not a horrible thing, but not ideal. A new coach can look good for a year, but longer term consistency is important.

No, well....maybe. I never bought into the Kiffin chatter but it now seems ever more likely. I haven't seen any P5 interest in him for a HC position & even others don't seem sold on him enough to show much enthusiasm especially, among the fans & backers. I'm beginning to see there may be a real chance for him to put a shine on his resume @ LSU by eliminating the "fluke" argument of coaching so successfully due to Saban's shadow over him.

Now, I'm not a huge fan of Kiffin, there's others I'd prefer as a fan. He still seems immature at times and IMHO, gets too "cute" calling plays when unnecessary. Granted, he does have talent but it's pretty easy to see why Saban doesn't set him completely free.

I probably wouldn't bet on it but if I was forced to pick who will be named tonight, I'd have to say Kiffin. Disclaimer: Tomorrow is another day though...

My 3 would be: Kiffin, Canada or Riley (Oklahoma).
