Did Alleva really have an extensive HC search

If you count reaching out to Sexton and Herman's agents "extensive" - then, yes.

How do you screw up firing a coach last year, then fire your coach four games into the season and not have picked out who you want to coach the team?!?! This is inexcusable. And let's say for two seconds that you suck at your job and you don't know who you want, how do you not get a committee of professionals to help determine a top 3 or top 5 candidates to interview?

Alleva's top moments at LSU:
Screwing up firing Les Miles in 2015
Screwing up the football coaching search in 2016
Allowing the basketball team to bow out of postseason play in 2016
Getting worked over by the Florida AD and SEC in 2016
Screwing up the hiring of Softball coach Pat Murphy. (That may have worked out for us.)
Hiring Trent Johnson.

ALLEVA HAS TO GO!

Texas did not have a search and they landed their one and only offer within 24 hours.

Who gives a shite if there was a search or not? Likely the end result remains

Texas didn't fire the winnings Head Coach in their history 4 games into the season either just so they could get a head start on the "Coaching search" did they?

We have a coach now, we move on . Question is why do we still have our AD? Check his contract and you will find the answer

What are the particulars of Alleva's contract? Seriously asking, would like to know. TIA.

Joe searched around the locker room after the A&M game and watched ESPN. That's about how much effort he put into it.

The search was on until O dropped the binder on the table.

No we got on the phone a few times talked to agents and meet with coach O face to face. Bet he's the only person Aleva ever talked to. I'm just trying to figure out why we pay aleva anything, and I'm one that's not melting over the O hire. Would of preferred somebody else but he may of been the best after jimbo and Herman said no. He could of at least met with 5-10 people face to face though.
