Brian Kelly
If he wants to win a title he needs to get out of Notre Dame and get into a conference like SEC

What you get?
Stout olines
Solid defense
Can Recruit nationally but at LSU would have pick of LA prospects
Not married to one style offensively but fits personnel to style very well
Would have better access to talent at LSU over Notre Dame
Could pull some players from midwest where he has lots of ties
Would hire solid assistants and coordinators

You get a dinosaur and someone that can't win a big game.

If he wants out of Jacksonville and is interested in coaching a college program again, you pick up the phone and listen...ahead of almost EVERYONE on your list.

I find myself a little more in the Meyer camp each day. Not sure of the fit at LSU, but dude is a heck of a college coach. If you're looking for someone who could bring quick results, I think he's got to be in your top 3.

Mark Helfrich it is.

Nooo, nooo, nooooo. He is the Ed Orgeron of Oregon minus a national championship.

Sound familiar?: LINK

"Helfrich and Oregon agreed to part ways on November 29, 2016 following a 4–8 season, Oregon's worst record in 25 years and first losing season since 2004. It also saw the first non-sellout crowds at Autzen Stadium since 2002."

I'm left with Billy Napier and Matt Campbell. You?

Only question left for me is how many of this list will LSU offer and be turned away by? That's how we can judge if this is true Tennersee level dumpster or something short. My guess is 5.

I will be fine with any of the Up-and-comers...Aranda, Tucker, Napier, Campbell.

Big fish are hard to catch...it's all about timing, and don't see us landing one this year unless there is a Big fish that is surprisingly looking for a change of scenery.

I think you take a shot on Napier. Innovative young talent. Already into the regional recruiting network. Would jump at the opportunity.
