If O beats Bama the Tiger Tracker melt will be something to behold

Yes, he beats bama, he ain't losing all 3 last games, likely will go a 2-1 or so. Beats bama, and the last 3 games are contract leverage.

Without a doubt TRUE. He would deserve it too...he would do what our previous coach hasn't done for years, and he as already done amazing things in just three weeks that make Miles look like a bafoon. Plus he is the best recruiter in the nation not named Saban. Beats Bama, sign that Cajun mfer up!!
Watch Kiffin run straight to BR as well :-)

O won't be a lock for anything unless he wins a natty.

False. Who in the hell would hire a coach based on 4 or 7 games in an interim season. You look at their entire body of work and hire the best coach for the future of LSU. In that scenario, O is in the B list of candidates.
So if O wins 7 straight games, sweeps the toughest remaining schedule in all of CFB, knocks off the #1 team in the country, beats 4 Top 25 teams, takes LSU to the SECCG, he hasn't proven he deserves to be coach or at least seriously considered? Fascinating.
Throw in winning the SECCG and Bowl game (Sugar if not playoff)? Does that do anything for you?

I'll say now what I've said for a while... we'll cross this bridge when we come to it.
Right now, I believe there are better options than Coach O. If he kills it for the rest of the season, we'll see what happens.
Let the man prove himself before we anoint him, in the mean time.

I agree. I'm just responding to those that say if he wins out they still think he shouldn't be considered or "oh we should have won those games anyway".

What WPBTiger said, IMO, Im certainly not saying it is impossible, For Oeaux to get this job , he has to win out and that would include victories over, Bama, Arky, UF, and Aggies, anything short of that I dont' think he gets the gig unless LSU is told no by first, second and third choice. BTW, I' m pulling for Oeaux to run the gauntlet and finish with a 7 and 0 record.

True. Coach O has to really poop his pants for him not to be hired for LSU's next HC.
