Travis Williams for LB Coach?

Was LB coach at Auburn since 2016. Was Co-DC LB coach at Auburn this past year. Outstanding recruiter. Many Auburn faithful were very unhappy he wasn’t retained on staff by Harsin. Would be a big get for LSU at a spot of need.

Seems so logical I can’t believe it’s not already done. Hire Williams and promote LaCouture to DL coach, he’s ready and will have O there to guide him. For all the shite we give O there’s one thing nobody questions and that’s his ability to coach DL.

TWill would be a great hire for LSU. Dude can recruit and coach. Our LB’s have been really solid to great under his tenure. Most of us if not all are not happy he is gone but also have to give Harsin the right to do as he feels best helps him.

I hope its Twill, I dont understand why people on this board want Baker. Twill can coach and recruit and was CoDc at Auburn

I think you can be ok with a Baker hire, but still absolutely prefer Williams if we can pull it off.
Those two things can co-exist. I know this because that is how I feel

Apparently his film study session with Harsin and Mason didn't go well so I wouldn't count on him being more than a recruiter. I would also be concerned about his social justice warrioring behind the scenes. There are people who say he was pivotal in splitting the locker room and others who say he held it together so don't know what to believe but it would be a concern.

I wouldn't be ok with the Baker hire bc Twill is out there and had proven it in the sec
When you have a fan base and ex players wanting your DC and lb coach gone and LSU fans want him as there lb coach is crazy

Yea, I remember seeing that. I thought they had to be an on-field coach too. But now that there is an open LB position coach needed, Trev would be a good option

Why the frick would you promote LaCouture who can still sit on staff as a GA? You can hire a proven DL coach there who can recruit his arse off and still retain LaCouture. I'm glad you don't run this program.

I think if LSU is seriously looking at him they're likely giving him more of a role than just LB coach. Would be a great hire.
Co-DC maybe? Not sure they'd do that but we know Faulk is going to be an analyst at LB.
