Looks like it will be a big cut in pay, but he is getting older so it's not unreasonable for him to go back to an old familiar setting to be closer to family.

We'll never know for sure exactly why he left for a job that will probably pay him half his previous salary, but the only thing I'm concerned about is if he is leaving because with Goff gone, he knows Cal is going to suck it up next year.

Cal isn't a sinking ship. Dykes just got an extension, and although his record isn't great and they lose Goff, he's cleaning up the pile of shite Tedford left behind.

No doubt. That story about him becoming a Berkley Socialist radical was hilarious. He really is a strange guy. Enjoy leaving the Bay Area & coming back to a dose of the real world, Tony.....

When I was in high school we ran the Tony Franklin system. He came to our 2 a day practices and I remember vividly him walking us through screen drills and he would physically move us lineman and tell us were to go. Tony really reminded me of Mr.Mackey on south park because every time he told us what to do he followed it up with mmmkk.

He also came to one of our games and called offensive plays from our press box. I have nothing but respect for Tony Franklin. His system helped turn our shitty program around and whip teams arse all over the state of Kentucky. NASCAR NASCAR.

He came from Louisiana Tech with Sonny Dykes before going to Cal. He was at MTSU before coming to Tech.
