I was doing some reading about some of the potential lsu coaching candidates. This guys resume is amazing. He is an offensive genius. Everywhere he has went he breaks records. Then look at the difference in ohio state in one offseason after losing him.

he's one of my favs. lost his starting qb earlier this year. team played like shite and turned the ballover 4 times yesterday and still almost came back and won. that's his worst moment as a coach.

I knew he was big for ohio state and he immediately has Houston where it wants to be. But looking back to even when he was a positions coach at Sam Houston state his impact is huge.

I'm a Herman guy. Have been even before his success at Houston. I just feel like this is LSU's chance at a 1987/Spurrier do-over.

Reading about him I think he should be our number one target even ahead of jimbo.

He's an up and coming coach. The board wants a veteran coach.

All in on Herman. He is THE choice as far as I'm concerned.

I have a hard time believing that they won't consider him if they even take a slight glance at his resume.

If it's Herman, Ed Oliver could flip to LSU.

Then the BOS maybe proving they have no idea what tthey're doing. One of the key questions should be who is the best possible candidate that we could reasonably get? And who can they ensure would be willing to leave their current program?

Herman fits that bill and we can outbid Houston for him.

In fact, recruiting Houston should be great bringing in Herman. And Houston area is beastly.

If there is a change then an Offensive genius so to speak would be welcome. But defense wins. If you cant stop the other guy you cant make any mistakes on offense if you have to keep up.

Spend big on a coach that can run the offense, spend less on a QB coach that is a OC in name only, and then spend big on a great Defensive coordinator. This is how you get the most bang for your buck.

Herman is a goid guy as well, not a sleeze ball like Briles. Any team that gets him will be better off. It may take him a couple of years to adjust to playing talented defenses but I think he will be a success.

If he would agree to keep Orgeron as DC and Frank Wilson as OC (in name) to keep recruiting in LA where it needs to be, then it could be a potential home run. Not a huge fan of that style of offense, but he is definitely proven on the big stage. If he would commit to playing real SEC defense from the jump (Sumlin's big downfall so far), then it could be a big coup.
