Tom Herman Worked for 5 Texas colleges before going to UT

I mean, let that sink in a little bit. He lived and worked at Texas Lutheran, Sam Houston State, Texas State, Rice, and Houston.
Really, Texas being his dream job is more than just hype. The dude coached in the state of Texas for 10 years before going to Ohio State, and then came back to Houston for his first head coaching gig.
That LSU even had a shot is somewhat incredible. With the Texas job coming open, LSU basically had no chance.
It's over. Coach O is LSU, and Herman is Texas, and in the scheme of things, that's probably how it should be.

LSU never had a shot. We were a negotiation tool. Alleva should have conducted a more thorough search, but he should be commended for at least sniffing out Herman's bullshite relatively quickly.

For making a handshake deal with us then wanting to renegotiate once Texas came calling.

From week 1, LSU fans have been cheering for Texas because we knew the implications for Herman. I don't understand the shock when it unfolded as we all thought with Herman.
