I'm thinking outside of the box and trying to assemble some names outside the usual (Herman, Briles, Petrino, Kiffin, etc.)

Do y'all think Todd Graham (Arizona State) or Kliff Kingsbury (TT) could be a possibility? I'm not sure if y'all remember back when Miles was hired, but I believe his name came out of left field. I'd have to look back or ask some of my Oklahoma State buddies, but I believe he didn't leave on a high note at OSU.

Todd Graham (from Mesquite) is very familiar with Texas recruiting. Being that he is from Mesquite (Dallas), he may be familiar with some of Louisiana's recruiting grounds as well. He's been successful everywhere he's coached at (Rice, Tulsa, Arizona State) and they score a lot of points...

Kliff Kingsbury is another interesting choice. Sure, he's at his alma matter and some may think he may not want to leave. My answer to that is, "have you ever been to Lubbock"? He's young, energetic, and runs an innovative offense. Sure, LSU just beat the breaks off TT. Congratulations. They are the arguably the 6th best team in the state. What Kliff has done and maintained at TT is pretty impressive. If you haven't been, that's a tough, tough place to lure talent to. I think he could do wonders at LSU with little to no in-state competition.

Thoughts?

I see Kingsbury getting in trouble with coeds within a year of being here. I'll pass.
And we can do better than Graham.

Kingsbury is at his alma mater and he's making 4M already and will be at 5.5M in 2020.
Why would he leave there? he can probably coach there for 20 years being average. Just needs a good season every now and then. If he sucks it up at LSU for 3 years he'd be gone.

Kliff hasn't done anything impressive at Tech. The only thing he has going for him is that he is totally dreamy.

Todd Graham would jump ship as soon as he gets his arse handed to him.

I would want PJ Fleck from Western Michigan.

I don't know. I visited texas tech's campus for the first time a few months ago. Real nice little college town. That's good that he's happy and rich
