To me the best OC hire is Canada

Why? Canada runs a power spread (which O wants), has had tremendous success wherever he's gone, coming to LSU would be a big boost from Pitt, and...
It's a perfect match.

Yes but why? His stats were terrific. It was a surprise.

The surprising move by Wolfpack coach Dave Doeren comes on the heels of his team being third in the ACC in scoring this season (33.2 points per game) behind only North Carolina and Clemson. That ranks 38th in the FBS this season.
Under Canada, North Carolina State is also 32nd nationally in rushing yards per game this season (201.4). Last season, his offense averaged 6 yards per play and racked up 5,311 yards of total offense, second- and fourth-best respectively in school history.
The Wolfpack also had 2,659 rushing yards last year, the fourth highest total in school history. The past two seasons Canada has also helped rejuvenate the career of graduating starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett. After two lackluster seasons at Florida and sitting out 2013 due to his transfer, Brissett has developed into a potential mid-round pick in April’s NFL draft. He threw for 5,268 yards with 43 touchdowns and just 11 interceptions in his two seasons with the Wolfpack.

I disagree.
You have to make Gruden tell you no before anyone else is called

Second thread in about five minutes you stated this. Take a look at his numbers at NC State. He was NOT fired due to lack of production. Does that help?

And by the way, I wholeheartedly agree with the OP. I sure hope there is at least an attempt to interview this guy.

Another thread says he was let go due to some sort of in-staff fighting. Not sure what that means, but supposedly it wasn't due to his ability. And NC State's offense has supposedly declined now that he's gone.
Depending on what the in-staff fighting issue was about, I don't have a problem with him.

Sarcasm noted... but he also put up 40+ on Penn State & Clemson in wins, and his lowest output on the season is 28 points (twice). So, his offense found ways to score in every single game they played-- with Villanova and Marshall being the only sort of cupcakes they played.
World beaters? Not necessarily. But respectable by any standard as an ACC school. I can see why some think he's a viable candidate.

I'm more impressed with what Canada did at NC State and Pittsburgh than what Kiffin did at Bama.

And Wisconsin, Indiana & Northern Illinois.

Some posters mentioned it in the other "Canada" threads .

Half the names on the list have major issues. Heh

That's not helping the argument that LSU should go after him. You're basically saying "this guy fricked up so bad at something that even his great offensive numbers couldn't save him."

Gave me an idea. Maybe a thread that lists only the negatives of each potential hire.

I've read some of the other threads. Only reference I saw was what I posted: that there was some sort of in-fighting within NC State's staff that caused Canada to be let go.
I don't know if that's even true, though I've seen a couple of articles suggesting it was a little surprising that Canada was let go. In that context, some sort of friction makes as much sense as anything. But it isn't detailed enough to form an opinion. Did you see any further explanation?
