Ohio State offensive coordinator Ed Warinner was asked about Purdue rumors and said, “That stuff comes up, and the only way I find out about it is if somebody texts me or somebody brings it up. Otherwise, I’m just grinding. … Those things take care of themselves. Those are all things that happen, and I don’t have to get involved in any of that stuff. There are ways that’ll happen, and you just stay out of it and take care of your job. The better you do your job, the better things happen for you all around.”

Translation: At this point in the Coaching Carousel, my agent handles everything. If I get involved it will be at a later date.

Really like our seat on the carousel this go around.

I wasnt wild about the timing of the fire initally, but lots of positive pub about our opening, new facilities, renewed commitment to football and that jazz.

Schiano, Fleck and others are very realistic for us.

The best part is, you won't even call him.

Nor should LSU. He has never been south of Ohio and is barely scraping .500 in the fricking Mac. Turner fricking Gil had more success than him at this point in their career.

Nick Saban spent almost his entire career in Ohio and Michigan before coming here

He had to burn that program to the ground and start over. 23-10 the last 3 years and has done things there that have never been done in the history of WM football.

Well thats just flat wrong.

he inherited one of the worst situations that anyone could have walked into and had a horrible first year. he is 24-21 and 16-11 in conference but after his first year, hes 23-10 and 15-4 in conference. anyone who doesnt think this guy will be the next big thing is just not seeing clearly

and hes doing this at WESTERN MICHIGAN. not houston where there is a legit college prospect anywhere you can throw a rock

His recruiting is also off the charts. His class right now is ranked right around Wisconsin, Oregon, and Virginia Tech. His class last year was in the range of lower level p5 schools. At Western Michigan. He's blowing the rest of the MAC away by 20-30 spots in Rivals.

are you comparing him to Saban?

Averaging 8 wins a year? In the Mac? Holy frick hire him now.

Turner Gil won the Mac twice in three years at powerhouse buffalo. How is he doing nowadays?

He absolutely has that level potential

They only play 8 conference games in the Mac. WMU played 2 top 5 teams OOC last year. WMU is 15-4 in conference since 2012. That's roughly 80%.

No he won 1 and in 4 years at Buffalo he had 3 losing seasons.

you are a true numbskull

The problem with that logic is that he is playing teams with no talent also

Nick Saban is 100. PJ Fleck is what, 36?

You expect them to have the same resume?

Don't be a dumbshit. If you can't see the difference between what he's done at WMU and Turner Gill's situation....well, you'd probably make a pretty good LSU fan then.

They did beat Illinois and Northwestern this year. Not powerhouses but much better than typical MAC fare.

they have beaten B1G teams

and once again, people dont seem to understand that western michigan is a horrible football program even by MAC standards. they arent bowling green or NIU. they have won the conference twice and the last time was almost 30 years ago. he is doing things that have never been done at WMU

I'm aware of their history.

I'm also aware of the history of Mac coaches dominating that shithole of a conference then being a compete bust at their next job.

Congrats on being able to find 2 successes. I'm sure I wouldn't be able to post dozens of pictures of failed coaches during that same timeframe.
