Will be a debate until December? I don't think the Tigers shite the bed for the rest of the season. The defense is good enough to keep us in every game. If any improvement is actualized on offense, this team wins 6 or more games in addition to he two they have won. If we end up 8 and 4 with another mediocre bowl, does this merit going after a big name head coach, or keeping Oregeron and going after a big time offensive coordinator?

8-4? I think Les probably could have finished out at 8-4.

Unless Orgeron wins out (big), he shouldn't be considered.

I wouldn't go that far.

Being LSU merits going after a big time coach.

Why does this keep coming up? I hate that this comes off as bashing Orgeron, but if he was not currently on our staff, would ANY ONE consider hiring him as the HC a home run hire after firing Miles? If not, why not?

What we are trying to do at LSU is, I'm almost certain, unprecedented in all of sports. We're trying to replace a coach that won a title who had himself replaced a guy who had won a title with a NEW coach we expect to win many titles. If THAT is your goal, why "settle" for the guy we promoted from DL coach? This is the time you go all out and make the very best of the best turn you down while making it rain.

I do not disagree, if we can get that guy, go for it, but; if not, hire a guy for oc that can make the team better. I think that Herman, jimbo, or gruden, or the saints coach would be great hires, but not sure if any are realistic.

There is a reason O wasn't given another HC job after Ole Miss or USC. There is a reason he sat at home for a year before becoming or DL coach.

He can recruit. He can rally the Troops, but his record as HC was beyond disastrous.

it took him 3 years to win 10 games. We just fired a coach because he could only win 10 games a year instead of 15.

Les wasn't winning 10 games this year or anymore years for that matter. His ability to be a quality coached had sailed. That's why he was fired.
