The LSU coaching hiring model

So are we really going the route of hiring guys that have not coordinated or have minimal experience, when Bama (yes, hate to bring them up) hire former HCs as analysts and Coordinators. We are going to try the Joe Brady experiment over and over? It's baffling that LSU and the money we are willing to spend that we are going to hire a Vikings DB coach for this spot.

And Sark, BOB, Bilema, Schiano, Butch Jones, etc. We should hire Catholic Highs coach for DC
There are so many better candidates than the Vikings DB coach that has only called plays at D2. Why are we not hiring young guys with experience calling plays. Reeves, Lekuba, Arnette (who I would let call plays while wearing MS St gear) over this guy

There are young guys that have called plays. This is almost like us pulling an Arky and hiring Malzhan to call plays he ran at the high school playoffs.

When people on this board realize that we are not Bama, life will be a lot easier for you to handle.
We are no more Bama than prime Drew Brees is Patrick Mahomes. Like Brees we are very talented and can win a lot but like Mahomes, everything comes easier to Bama.
The goal is obviously to get on Bama’s level but we aren’t there yet. yes, they get NFL HCs while we take chances on guys that show promise. If we make the playoffs a few more times and win one every few years then we will get there. Until then we are in the Auburn, Georgia, Florida tier.

Talk all the shite you want about bama, and the rest of us being second tier, but pull saban out of there, and they are auburn and florida the very next year. Book it. There are only a hand full of bear bryant’s, belichick’s and saban’s out there dude. There is a reason for that, and unfortunately saban got the hots for the nfl while here, otherwise, we’d be hanging number 10 or 11 this year.
We’ve got to do what we can do with the hand we’re dealt. And right now we have coach O, who is light years ahead of poor Les when it comes to innovating and letting his coordinators coach, upgrading and making changes when he needs to.

Bama is better than us.
That being said BOB is a terrible hire.
He’s still riding off the cup of coffee he had with Brady.
He’ll be ok At Bama because of the talent but he isn’t a good Coordinator.

While I think BOB is a curious hire, he's probably called thousands of plays more than our DC has called. That's my problem with the DC hire.
