Miles was a great coach at LSU. He let the game pass him by. Can he be successful again? Of course, he can. Orgeron was a lousy coach at Ole Miss. Can he become a great coach? Of course, he can. It all depends on what each does going forward. If Miles can adapt and change his offensive philosophy he can become relevant again. If Coach O can profit from his past experience, correct his failures from the past, he can become a great coach. Guys, I will be pulling for each man!!! Why? They love LSU and so do I.

The biggest difference in Coach O and Miles

Les Miles: 16 Years, 142-55, .721 Win%

Ed Orgeron: 5 Years, 21-29, .420 Win%

Yep, pretty big difference.

So Miles she is why he hasn't been hired? Lmao

What? I didn't say anything like that. Your reading comprehension is pretty bad if that's what you inferred from me say it could be Miles if they were looking for someone who'll stay a while.

Let me put it in simpler terms for you, Houston may not want a guy who will leave in 1-3 years, which is likely if Kiffin gets a P5 offer. Miles is likely to retire wherever he coaches next if he has any success.

Then there is the excuse that his age has something to do with it. Horsehit!

Nick Saban is 65, you think if he quit Alabama he wouldn't get an offer or two?

So you're saying Miles should expect to be pursued like the one of the greatest college coaches of all time?

Age is a component of what teams are looking for. When teams are hiring guys in their early 40's, that usually indicates a desire to get a longer term guy or maybe chasing the hot name, which is generally a young guy and never the guy just fired.

There is also fit, which almost immediately eliminated Miles from consideration at Oregon and may actually hurt him regarding UH if he is a serious candidate, which I think he is.

We'll see. I wasn't really an O guy but I am now, only because his is the coach for LSU. So I hope he never loses again. I am concerned, like everyone should be, about how a relatively unproven coach will do.

Orgeron would not have been looked over for Houston or Purdue, maybe Nicholls State if it was open.
