Rumors everywhere that Texas will "do whatever if takes" and "break the bank."

$100 million for 10 years didn't do it. What will it be this time?

They are not firing Charlie, even though they would be better off if they did, and Charlie isn't just going to step down. This can happen next year but not now

I would think he would not want to go, but hell that is a LOT of money.

Could they really pay that much and buy out Strong?

If Saban didn't leave last time, no way he leaves this time.

They could afford anything, what holds them back is perceptions. They don't want to be seen as racists and they don't want to be seen as the program that screwed up the coaching payscale for everyone.

I think it is far more likely Saban would take the right NFL job (decent team with a franchise QB; think Colts) for another shot at success because of the challenge and his legacy.

Did they really offer him that or was it just rumor?

He'll be coaching the New York Giants in a couple of years. Big Market, big money. Seals his legend.
