We've heard all the following:
Herman didn't like way Texas treating strong
A&m over Texas
Control issues at Texas
Texas having secret Harbaugh mission
Herman gave Texas a passed deadline
Applewhite issue
Texas is fricked
LSU is stacked
Everyone just being professional and allowing Herman to coach out and tell team first

Anyone who thinks Texas was "waiting" out of respect is delusional. They probably kept Strong twisting just to be dicks.
If Herman comes to LSU -- and I strongly believe he will -- he will have done so with a full opportunity to consider Texas and decide against going there.

I'd be willing to bet that Herman has spoken with Urban Meyer to get his thoughts on the LSU job and Urban told him to go for it. My opinion only.

Texas admin and Texas boosters are 2 entirely different animals. The admin, who will ultimately make the call, will be true to their politically correct angels, especially considering Strong's race, the fact that the replacement at hand is resume impoverished and that said replacement is under contract with a disadvantaged, subordinate entity like U of H.
