Being reported all over Lexington. I think Stoops realizes he needs to get a coordinator who aligns with his vision and to quit trying to sell fans on an Air Raid he doesn't want. Get the big uglies to run the ball and I'm all for it.

He hired Dawson instead of Riley last season. One of the bigger head scratchers he's made.

Do you think they beat Clemson?

I think they have the easiest draw, but am curious what Alabama fans think.

I expect OU and AL to be in it this year...

Of course, last year I thought it would be Ore and AL so that shows what I know.

I think it will be an easy win for OU. Up front, I think OU is vastly underrated and can swarm to the ball. Offensively, it's tough to defend two solid backs and having to account for Baker Mayfied.

If we get by Michigan State, it's definitely going to be a great Championship game.

You really think Bo Pelinni would go to UK to lead the defense?

Potentially. Would make double at UK what he makes at YSU. I think he would at least like for his name to be out there publicly and either A) consider the job, B) get a raise, or C) get it in people's mind that he'd leave there to be a DC at a Power 5 conference schoool.

Bo is only in his late 40's. He could go be a DC somewhere and move the needle for 2-3 years and then be a HC again in his early 50s. It's not unintelligent to at least make sure his name is out there for the job.

But so does Bama, UGA, Arky, UT, LSU, UF to some extent, and now USC.

That's a lot of schools all recruiting for similar offensive systems. I think some have to do a little something different schematically because they can't all land the same kids. Just my opinion. (It ain't worth much)

Bo and Stoops are tight. Seems that Bo has been hanging around Lexington lately. We will see.

I see Stoops going after what his brother is running at Okie. Can't believe he chose Dawson over Riley.

Damn.......I played college ball with Shannon. He's a good guy. He left the shadow of Holgerson (had followed him through the ranks (TT and WVU), who was our coordinator in college. Here's to hoping Dana can get Shannon another gig somewhere.

He will. From all accounts this has less to do with his job performance and more to do with Stoops having to cut people loose to appease the fanbase/boosters. And he's not going to cut "his" guys like Eliot unless he absolutely has to.

Why the hell would we hire Pelini to run UK's offense. Dont see Elliot going anywhere.

And frick off with the Oklahoma crap.

A ball control offense might be the way to go. Not sure if Spurrier is the guy but its possible to find a decent pro style OC if you look hard enough.

Yes, other teams in the SEC use that sort of offense but there is no great shortage of Spread or Air Raid teams either. Unless you bring back the Wishbone you are going to have competition for athletes to run any offense... and even with the triple option you'd have Navy, Army, AF, and Georgia Tech poaching.

Its not a guarantee of success but being able to run the ball and hit play action passes to the TEs can be very effective. Arkansas went on a roll about midway through the season with that offense despite the fact that our defense was one of the worst in the country at defending the pass.

With a decent defense as backup you can drain the clock and keep opposing offenses on the sidelines. It might be the way to go for Kentucky.

Word is more changes are on the way. I'd be happy having Pelini as DC. Honestly, I'd love to have Joker back as WR coach.

What pro style guys are out there we could go get to replace Dawson?

Dawson was far from the problem. He had very little to work with at UK and giving him 1 year?? Stoops is just looking to save himself, so he offs Dawson.

I'd rather have Dawson's offense than what we currently have at LSU, even if Shannon does dislike LSU as much as I know he does.

I'm very happy Dawson is gone. He never seemed to have a sense of ergancy and he looked unprepared and unprofessional at practice. We need a power running game like What michigan runs.
