Do people realize how big of a loss it would be for our program if Moffit left for Tennessee???
Its almost as important as what happens with Crowton...

Is Moffitt really that good?

he is a god in the strength and conditioning world

Our players seem to pass out on the field in between plays a lot though.

yes. he is VERY well respected and has refused Saban and a few other coaches trying to lure him away. I see this as our next "critical" coaching issue...

Lsu players have a LOT of cramps in games
Posted on 1/12/11 at 10:08 am to TheDoc
Does that mean TM isn't doing his job well?

Maybe its just a coincidence that LSU players seem to cramp up more than any other team they play.
Is miles recruiting cramp players???

Sounds to me that they are retarded and do not drink enough water the day before.

conditioning can abate soem cramps but nutrition and hydration are by far more improtant. Some persons are genetically predisposed to increased cramping though.

It's on their S&C coach to make sure this is a priority.

Exactly. If the players do not drink enough fluids the day before the game then no matter how much they drink during the game they cannot catch up. That's why they get IV's to speed it up.
It's not TM's fault that they don't drink their juice. He's not their mother.

Maybe TM has them drinking too much Brawndo.

Word is he is interviewing for the UT job. A really influential booster who posts on all the message boards, and now Mods for UT's 247 sports.com page. says it's 50/50 right now.

well hopefully he set up the inteview before Les re-negotiated (in case Les bolted and TM needed a place to land).
would like to see him stay, but a S&C coach is replaceable, regardless of who it is.

I could see him leaving LSU for UT, but I just don't think he will. He's turned down many jobs lately, and all have paid more. I think he's stuck here just like LM.

Honestly the use of some legal and certainly many of the illegal performance enhancing drugs can cause both loss of fluids and shifts in fluid distribution in the body. Certain foods and combinations of foods also affect fluid balance. Many colligate and professional athletes consult sports nutrionists to assist with their diet and performance. If LSU really wanted to get the most out of their athletes they would add a clinical sports nutrionist to their staff.
