Jimbo is the obvious safe hire, and we can assume Alleva would want a safe home run hire. May not get him, but no reason to think Alleva isn't trying.

I see Fisher as the ultimate safe option. He's a couple of notches above Miles but a notch below Saban/Meyer. He's not an innovator but he can develop QBs. You develop a top QB in the nation and pair that with a great D, you will be in the NC hunt, period. That's his appeal IMO.
