The thread is immediately whacked? This entire board is based on speculation and "what if" scenarios. Admins acting like the federal government censoring info. Let the information fly.

Agreed. Annoying an admin can quash a multi-page thread which is full of information, discussion, and speculation. Especially when it's a thread started by a poster with a history of having some sort of legit insight.

I only agree with you if the deal has already been accepted and the contract signed. Short of that there's too much risk of minds or situations changing.

Yes, I presume it is. I can only assume that the admins here don't want leaked information to end up in the media, thereby potentially affecting negotiations, and hence are deleting anything that appears too sensitive. I also assume the boosters and school administrators are very sensitive to the corrosive power of leaks after last year.
Why else would they delete, even from somewhat credible sources?

We have a lot of mouthbreather fans with "sources". Kind of sad seeing a lot of them hanging on every word.
Look at Petrino for example. Has any single LSU admin even mentioned his name for consideration? Yet, there are tons of threads including him.

I don't think it's speculation on here that could frick things up. It's the stupid Baton Rouge media that reads the board looking for info and then writes an article claiming to have sources that fricks things up.

But seriously, this board can still post things with actual, provable sources, can post any speculation, can flight track, etc.
I seriously think allowing those threads about Jimbo to live on would hurt our chances of actually getting him. I honestly think it did last year. The media started running with shite from the internet, it created backlash for Les, and F. King dropped a turd in our punch bowl.
