2 championship game appearances in the past 8 years. But that's what you meant to post anyway, right? I mean, there is one other SEC team that can claim a tie in appearances with us during that run. One SEC team who has been there 1 time more than us, and 11 other SEC teams who have been a total of one time. Let's not forget the ONLY teams with multiple appearances during that same stretch are LSU and those other two schools, who so happen to be in the West with us, one of whom we beat last year on their way to it. Oh yeah, and 122 other FBS schools who have also not made that many championship appearances in that time. But by all means, let the hate flow.

That didn't stop Saban from pulling the plug on recruiting early in 04. We barely had a class that year. So others have taken that approach.
