I have no freaking clue what they can or cannot afford, but I will bet my life that they will not offer him a deal of 6 million a year.

The only one I believe and who is always true to his word is Nick Saban.

If Mich wants Miles bad enough they can afford to offer him 6 mil. The Athletic Department is not hurting for cash. We have money flowing in from all possible angles. Money will not be the cause of Dave Brandon not signing the coach he wants. The situation is that no one has any clue as to who he wants.

Which means absolutely nothing, as Brian Kelly has already demonstrated.

quote:

Barrett reports that safety Aaron Webster stated: "[h]e said, 'It's not an issue; I'm not going there. He said, 'I love Cincinnati, and I'm staying here.'

Earlier in the day, ESPN reported that Kelly had allegedly told an ABC media crew that he would "entertain" a conversation with Notre Dame about the head coaching job.

If this is true, why has Michigan gone out of its' way in its' entire past to low ball coaches?

LOOKING AT MILES DURING THE PP ANNOUNCEMENT, IT SEEMS TO ME THAT MILES HAS MADE UP HIS MIND WHAT HIS FUTURE WILL BE. I AM AN LSU FAN. DOESN'T MATTER WHO THE COACH IS, I WILL CHEER FOR LSU. I HOPE MILES STAYS BUT NOT FOR $6 MILLION. WE ALREADY PAY THROUGH THE NOSE TO ATTEND LSU GAMES. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. PAYING THESE COACHES THIS KIND OF MONEY HAS TO STOP. HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH? I HOPE MILES STAYS BECAUSE HE LOVES LSU AND NOT BECAUSE OF MONEY. IF HE STAYS FOR THE MONEY, THEN WE GO THROUGH THIS CRAZINESS EVRY YEAR HE STAYS. IF HE LOVES MICHIGAN AND THAT IS WHERE HE WANTS TO COACH THEN LET HIM GO. LSU IS GREATER THAN ANYONE IN THE PROGRAM TODAY AND WILL ALWAYS BOUNCE BACK BECAUSE OF THE FANS...

maybe because they have never had a 15-22 run in the entire history of the program?

UM has to offer CLM whatever it takes for him to leave a place
1. He loves
2. Is loaded with talent
3. Can compete for NC every 2-4 years

dude is gone. not mad at him, but like alot this weekend, rather disappointed

Mich has a new AD. He has already stated in a presser that they will pay for a good coach. Our old AD was an idiot. He offered Schiano before even speaking with decent options, including Miles.

Yes, as of this minute he expects to be LSU's coach. As of the second Michigan puts the $25M offer in front of him and hands him the pen, well....circumstances changed.

They have been saving money to afford Miles. Now they have the cash accumulated.
